Anesthesia Depth Monitor (BIS Monitor) is a medical device used to monitor the level of consciousness and depth of anesthesia of a patient under general anesthesia.

During anesthesia, the patient:
- To remain under very superficial anesthesia,
- Experience awareness (alertness) during surgery,
- Helps prevent the administration of more anesthetic medication than necessary.
Purpose and Importance:
The main purpose is to objectively monitor how "deep" the patient sleeps during the surgical process.
With this process;
- The risk of the patient waking up (awareness) during surgery is prevented.
- By preventing excessive drug administration (deep anesthesia), the postoperative awakening process is accelerated and drug side effects are reduced.
- Helps keep vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate stable.
